Yep! You do matter!

Everyone craves to hear that they matter…to someone…anyone. In this world where everyone is so busy with their own needs, it’s easy for me to begin to believe the lies that start hissing in my head; “You are invisible. You don’t really matter. You’re not really wanted.” Well, my friend, let me share the words that God used recently with me to set those voices straight.

Isaiah 43:1,4,7 “But now thus says the LORD, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” “Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you.” “…everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

I matter because God created me for His glory. He made ME! And He made YOU!

I am precious and loved by the LORD, the God of all creation, and that love includes the way of redemption.

I am called by His name, created for His glory, and I am HIS.

Psalm 100:3 “Know that the LORD, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.”

Did you see that again? God made you! You are HIS! He sees you. He values you. He wants you.

So when you come up empty, like we all do from time to time cuz no one else happened to see the hole in your heart longing to be filled, let the Words from your Creator fill you full to the brim – “You are precious. You are loved. You are mine.” Better yet…let’s just start each day with that hug-of-a-reminder and maybe we’ll ward off the enemies’ voice before he can utter a single word!

What I’m reading

The book “Uninvited” by Lys TerKeurst is just the encouragement and challenge I needed in the season I’m working through. I cried through the whole first chapter as she touched a chord in my heart. You are not crazy to occasionally feel less than, left out, and lonely. Lisa shares her journey through these feelings and the assuring truth from God: you ARE invited!
